Described as the father of colour photography, these are the images that create a very real visual atmosphere to recorded music. Looking at these sleeve photographs its easy to see how so many visual and musical artists like David Lynch were inspired by Eggleston’s work. When referring to the recent exhibition in London, Nicholas Cullinan, director of the National Portrait Gallery said “Eggleston has an uncanny ability to find something extraordinary in the seemingly everyday”.
